I knew since I was a teenager that I wanted to be an entrepreneur. I started a cleaning business in 2007 but decided to shut it down once I found out I was pregnant with my son only a few months later. After delivering him I went back to school and got a degree. I started working at a local Rehab Facility but kept feeling the urge to start a business of my own. I finally took a leap of faith and started my cleaning business again in 2017 and it took off immediately.
After feeling some real success for the first time I decided that I wanted to start a second business. I opened a spa called Heavenly Body Studio in 2020 right before the pandemic began. I did well that year, but sales started to decline the second year. I decided to close but I took my time to ensure I was available for all of the appointments my clients had set in the future.
After wanting to get into real estate for so long, I finally decided to take the plunge and sign up for a class that same year, which eventually lead to me getting licensed. I knew it wouldn’t be easy, but I was up for the challenge. While going through the process of closing Heavenly Body Studio, I also signed up for a training to become a loan broker. I decided to do this because as a business owner I know what it’s like to need money to help grow your business. I wanted to help my fellow entrepreneurs and got trained and certified.
In the midst of going to class I met a young lady who told me she was a notary and an ordained minister. I was so intrigued and excited to get more information on how to get certified. She helped me and told me everything I needed to know. But I took it a step further and decided to get certified as a loan signing specialist as well and create websites for all of my business ventures.
I presently operate all of these businesses including my cleaning business. I am fortunate enough to have employees that help me keep up with my clients and appointments. I have always known I had so much to give to the world and I plan to continue to help people as much as I can. I have a passion for everything that I do, and I do it with love. It may be too much for some people to handle, but for me, It’s just who I am.
In the future I hope to educate others on how to start a business and become successful. Although I have made mistakes, I have had a lot more success. I want to help others succeed starting with my own child. I am now helping him launch his first business at age 14 and I will do everything in my power to ensure he learns, adapts, and finds his own success. His success will be my best accomplishment. Because although I want to be a successful entrepreneur, my greatest joy is being a mother.
